Easter

It's Easter. It's the day of the resurrection of Jesus!

While I rejoice for the hope I have in Christ Jesus, who has overcome death and sin, my heart ache when I see people partying to celebrate the day. People who claim themselves as Christians.

Do you know what it really means that Jesus died for you? Do you get it?! The meaning, the power behind His resurrection?

How much longer? How much longer that, you, proclaiming yourself as a saved Christian, though believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, still stay in the darkness, still continue to sin?

Don't you know that you now have a new life? As God give you a new life in Christ Jesus?

Yet, you so love the world that you refuse to surrender your whole life to Christ.

Jesus said in Luke 9:23
"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."

Yes. There are many people out there, even the pastors who preach in church, favor the spirit of tolerance in this modern day. They will only share with you part of the gospel. They will tell you:

"Your life will be perfect if you accept Jesus,"
"You will be so blessed,"

While it is true that we can have joy and peace in Christ, our actions should align with what we say.

You cannot say that you believe in God, yet continue to worship other idols: money, fame, etc.
You cannot say that you are saved, yet continue to seek ways of the world: party, drinking, taking in drug, sinful relationships to fulfill the emptiness in your life.
You cannot say that you love God, yet dwelling in the sin of this world.
You cannot say that Jesus is your Lord, yet try to take control over your life.

Have you ever really experienced Him in your life?
Have you really give up your life for Him?
Have you obeyed His commands?
Have you truly let Him come into your life and fill you with His Holy Spirit? His peace? His joy? His hope?

No wonder the world call us hypocrites.

Matthew 7:21-23
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"

I don't want to be able to do miracles in Jesus' name while falling astray from God's grace. I don't want to just be lukewarm, saying that I am a Christian, but never truly know Him. I don't want to say I love Him, yet don't make myself vulnerable to His love.

How about you?

I pray that you will experience the fullness of His goodness.
