I feel so glad that I went to the campus alive last night. I made a right decision for not joining hafidz to sunway to watch "the dark knight" (although i wanted to wacth so much)(maybe next time. hee... ) The campus alive last night was so nice!!!
Campus Alive is....
some sort of gathering for young christians.
Well, even if you are not a christian (like me), you are also welcomed to join CA. People there are very friendly and approachable. One wouldn't feel lonely in CA. In fact, I feel a sense of belonging there.
Usually, there are 4 sections in the CA.
First, some ice breaking including games and... erm.. lame jokes? Hehe....
Then, there is worship when the church will sing to praise their God. This is my favorite part as I enjoy singing. There is a band that will play the church songs (my favorite also) and all of the young people will sing along and swing their bodies with the soothing music. They will off some of the light to make the room dim so that people can really relax themselves after a whole tiring day...
The next section is a small talk which will be lead by a pastor. Last night, it was pastor David who delivered the speech. The topic of the speech was "Through Stormy Days". Pastor David shared some of his experience with us and adviced us to be strong when facing challenges (pastor said he would like to regard them as challenges, not problems, as challenges will make us stronger). Pastor mentioned that all of us, the children of God, are created by Him as strong as eagles. The eagle is the king of the sky. They are not afraid of stormy days and the striking sun light. And that's why pastor David hope that we should be as brave as eagles in our lives.
Finally, refreshment!! One of my favorite parts also. Hiakz!
Oh ya! I forgot to mention that I met ah fung last night also. Hadn't met her for nearly a month already since the last gathering in Kuching. She helped to make the cookies for refreshment last night. The cookies prepared last night was very delicious. I shall give 4 out of 5 stars.
Indeed, it was a great gathering for the seniors and juniors last night, as well as a gathering for old friends who hadn't been meeting each other for some time due to our busy study lives.
Looking forward to the coming CA.....
Looking forward to meet the friends again..........
