Why Amylopectin???

hmmm.... many people have been asking me this question....

why amylopectin? what's that?

for people who don't know what is amylopectin, let me explain to you right here right now... cause i m lazy to explain to you one by one again.....

ehemm....

AMYLOPECTIN is one of the two components found in STARCH.. another component is amylose...

this is the picture of the structure of amylopectin....

well.....

since there are two Amy s in my class... thus, my friends name me amylopectin while the other amy as amylose...

why must me be the amylopectin but not amylose...

funny.... the reason they give is

"because AMYLOPECTIN is BRANCHED!"

O... ok... so what is that going to do with me?
